BMA Trainer Spotlight: Wise

Wise Katubadrau is a personal trainer with a passion for fitness and working with people. He was born in Suvavou, a village in Fiji, and raised in Australia, where he played rugby, soccer and basketball. The competitive nature of rugby drove Wise to take his fitness to another level, so he started training with BMA.

Wise fell in love with the BMA program and quickly got into incredible shape. “I was fascinated by their training methods and the energy I got from the workouts,” he says. “They really know how to motivate and inspire clients. I feed off my workouts and it makes me want to train more and more.” Also a professional acoustic musician, Wise found that training with BMA helped his performances, making him more confident and comfortable on stage. “Whenever I play music, I feel BMA’s spirit around me and it seems like nothing is impossible,” he says.Wise’s amazing results inspired him to join the BMA team as a trainer. A stint coaching a high school soccer team in Micronesia instilled in him a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals—joining BMA was the perfect way to continue that work. He quickly integrated the BMA mindset into his interaction with clients, and strives to help others become confident and comfortable in their workouts and every other aspect of life.
“Live life as it should be lived—BMA gives me the tools to live my life, and teaches me how to be who I am.” - Wise

BMA Trainer Spotlight: Spase

Spase Trajkovski is a Personal Trainer and co-founder of BMA. Spase draws heavily from his training and experience as a competitive cyclist, as he rode for the Macedonian national team and achieved national classification in 1995. In 2004, he also placed in the top 15 in the Mr. Macedonia fitness competition. After more than a decade long hiatus, Spase returned to competitive cycling, placing third in the Devil’s Punchbowl road race and the Dana Point Criterion Race. He also placed second overall in the Ventura Stage race, where he won the “King of the Mountain” jersey.

Spase has designed a special program to train pro level cyclists and is currently running a beta session of the program with his cycling coach, Haldane Morris, a US Olympic Trials silver medalist, member of the US National Team, and winner of more than 30 state championships.
My belief is that you can only go as far as YOU allow
yourself. Dream big, and reach high. Don't impose limits because YOU CAN ALWAYS DO BETTER, only if you believe in yourself. Fitness and health is not about the looks (big misconception!), it goes way deeper than that. It's about how it makes you feel, while everything else is a projection or a result of that feeling. I strive to be better, and BMA is the perfect outlet for that. It's my charging socket, my library, my playground." - Spase

BMA FAQ!

What is BMA?
BMA is a full-service fitness organization that offers the highest quality health and fitness services available in Los Angeles. BMA is like no other fitness company; it’s a no-fluff, straight-up, HONEST company that keeps it REAL. We offer one-on-one private training, personal training combos, group workouts, meal delivery, nutrition counseling, kids’ camps, performance conditioning for pro athletes and female-focused training services. We use creative and innovative conditioning methods to challenge our clients like never before, and optimize every minute of their workout. Our trainers teach more than exercise techniques—we promote commitment, persistence, and hard work. We strive to get you out of your comfort zone, show you what your body can do and inspire you to lead the healthiest life possible.

What does the name BMA mean?
BMA stands for Body Mind Architects—we believe that every individual is the architect of his/her own body/mind construction. On a basic level, when the two are working in unison, great results can be obtained. Yet on the BMA level (the deeper level), we know that there is something much greater, more powerful, more expansive to be discovered... it is one's purpose and will. In this space, there are no limitations... the wisdom to make good decisions about your health comes from connecting body and mind as well as practicing self-reliance, which is what BMA philosophies are embedded in. When you can get to this level, you no longer need us—you have learned to be the architect of a healthy life.

How is BMA different from other workouts?
What makes BMA different is the workout we offer and the long lasting results it produces. We are with you every moment—from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave and beyond. We guide and challenge you, but best of all, we practice non-dependency. When you discover your own truth of what does and doesn't work for you, then you have learned to be the architect of a healthy life. Your results will be long-lasting because you know how to use your tools effectively to their highest potential. We don’t believe in making our clients “lifers.” We strive to get you to a place where you no longer need us.

How quickly can one get in shape?

It depends on your level of commitment. We will help you with every component of what you need to get in shape and live a healthy lifestyle. If you show up and participate with your best effort, you will see amazing results and will feel stronger and healthier.
What are some of the more specific changes your body will have?
Everyone’s goals are different—we design your workouts specifically to achieve the results you want. We are experts in areas such as gaining lean muscle mass, body fat reduction, increasing cardiovascular health, power, muscular and cardio endurance, as well as sport specific training.

Do participants have to be in good shape to attend?
Absolutely not. We tailor the BMA workout to people of all fitness levels, age, and specific goals. Even our beach fitness group workouts include participants from every level and offer exercise conditioning techniques that anyone can do.

What does a session with BMA consist of?
A session with BMA is generally 60 minutes long, which includes a dynamic warm-up, specific training and a cool-down.

Where is BMA located?
BMA Headquarters are located in Venice Beach, California, but we also train with individuals and groups in Santa Monica, the South Bay, and all throughout Los Angeles. We have many locations that we train at, in addition to your private gym, home gym, favorite park or beach. We have the ability to come to you. Our website is www.bodymindarchitects.com.
We can be reached by calling 310.560.0098 or by emailing  info@bodymindarchitects.com

BMA Trainer Spotlight: Helen

Helen Estrada brings extensive fitness industry experience to BMA, where she oversees the day-to-day management of operations. Prior to joining BMA, Helen spent over three years as the Director of Expansion & Workshops for The S Factor. In this position, she spearheaded the growth and expansion of the company into key markets across the United States. She traveled nationwide to perform market research, evaluate and develop potential partnerships, and oversee the execution of marketing programs. In addition, Helen developed fitness workshops in their entirety, with the goal of attracting students to new locations. This required her to coordinate every aspect, ranging from teacher selection and site location to sales and merchandising.

Helen’s previous experience includes a position as Regional Director of the Children’s Guardian Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to prevent the death of children in traffic accidents. Helen received her B.A. in Organizational Management from Antioch University, where she received the Dean’s Merit scholarship and graduated with high honors. Whether she’s lifting weights, running on the beach, or surfing, Helen works out every day. Her passion for fitness attracted her to BMA, and once immersed in the program, she discovered that their philosophy of challenging individuals to meet and surpass their fitness goals had significantly impacted her life. Helen learned how to tap into her inner power and achieve fitness goals she never thought possible, and was able to take that practice and apply it to every aspect of her daily life. She quickly decided that she wanted to play an integral role in the continued growth of this organization.

"I NO LONGER NEED PERMISSION. The BMA workout and philosophy has taught me how to stand in my power.” - Helen
